if it was this year. Since Hostess went bankrupt and ding dongs are no longer available, what would have been in the purse?

Well, I remember seeing Kit Kat bars and Hershey bars in her office drawer and LOTS of lollipops, so she could've switched to one of those as her main indulgent...but I read on wikipedia that Ding Dongs are still available in the US, they look so yummy I want to try one! But unfortunately Ding Dongs are not available in my country

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm from New England and we had both Ring Dings and Ding Dongs and they are NOT the same!!! LOL I can only get RD's when I visit back home, but here in AZ I can only get Ding Dongs. Life is hard ...

Hostess has made a come back though.

But I don't understand why they'd put ding dongs in foil wrappers when they were in plastic wrappers in real life. Did the show have her taking them out of real wrappers and putting them in foil or something?

I'm not familiar with snack foods (or whatever they're called) but I would guess the prop department covered them in foil so as not to reveal the brand name.
