Different versions of this movie?

Due to circumstances I shall not bore you with, in the course of two years I've bought and watched three different releases of A Bittersweet Life: the Dutch (Asiamania), Taiwanese, and UK (Tartan Asia Extreme) releases. Strangely, the Dutch release appears to be a completely different cut of the film. A number of scenes have been shortened, one long scene is added, and they appear to have moved parts of the soundtrack to different places.

Does anyone know anything about this? Are there several official versions of this movie, or has it been tampered with by Asiamania? I'd simply take it as the latter if it weren't for the fact that their alternate take actually has some things going for it when compared to the UK and Taiwanese versions...
