In the movie the main character always turns the light on and off when he's trying to sleep.
Also when the mob boss visits his 'girlfriend' at her house, she keeps turning the light on and off.
Why do they both do this? Symbolizes something?
It shows how bored he was with his life. He had nothing to do. Couldn't sleep, drank beers.
