Does this movie reminds you of I Saw The Devil ?

This movie is rated really high and I only heard positive things about it. I am really looking forward to watch this, the problem is just, that I Saw The Devil (another Korean Production) is also rated very high (7.8/10). The Movie was boring in my opinion and had nothing special in it, again only my opinion. But I enjoyed movies like Oldboy...

So my question, is A Bittersweet Life like I Saw The Devil, or something different.

Completely different only thing similar is that they were both made in Korea...
Did you read the synopsis for each film and do they sound the same to you??

That was not what I meant, of course the plot is different from I Saw The Devil. I mean the overall style of the movies, the camera, the effects, so the visual stuff about this movie.
As I already pointed out I love Oldboy but hate I Saw the Devil because it felt so boring and not exciting, overall to slow...

Its more like Oldboy.

Imo a the visual style of a bittersweet life stands apart from the one used in I saw the devil and Oldboy (the latter ones beeing rather "similar" from what I can remember)

only thing similar is that they were both made in Korea

Both films also have the same lead and director.

Its more like Lady Vengence with some oldboy in it.

Quite diff from ISTD

No, it's nothing like I Saw the Devil. It felt more like a John Woo movie to me. Reminded me a little bit of the recent Raid 2 as well.
