Naaah. He just liked her. Not in a physical way. He liked her enough to get involved in her life. When she gets beat up, that starts to set him off. But he still thinks about it. What set him into commando mode again was the business in the bar with the Russians. He would have happily and peacefully given the guy the 9600 and walked away if the girl was set free. However, not only is she not set free, the guy he was trying to business with was an Ahole. Even with that, he still thinks about it. He gets to the exit door, thinks it over one last time - and then he's back to his old commando self.

In my "old age" (Millennial) I must be reverting back to my naive youthful innocence or maybe just plain getting old because I seriously thought you meant that he should get some sort of special employee discount because of his heroism. Then i read the comments...
