Why Chloe Moretz got a small role?

I found it a little boring without her parts. I mean it's not awesome movie as Leon: The Professional while Natalie Portman got a big role.

There's something wrong with Esther.

I think this movie would be rather annoying and cliched if her character was tagging along with McCall throughout the movie.

I liked the idea of McCall being a solitary figure who works alone.

Oh well.. If you say so, then that's all right. I liked this movie!

Thats a different movie... This movie wasnt designed to have a chick as a sidekick. He works alone... Thats the whole point. Moretz was there to provide someone he could connect with and get inspired by. And she did that great. Ive been disappointed with some of her acting in certain movies (like Hick) but in this one she did a great job. That scene at the table worked well. So its probably good they didnt drag her all over this movie. It would have been much worse.

By the way, speaking of Moretz, Im half convinced they chose her for this as a kind of homage to her character in Kickass. That scene where he just walks right into the Russian pimps private room reminded me a lot of the one where Moretz marches into war against the thugs in Kickass.

Although she was central to the story, she was more or less only needed as the impetus of his actions. Once he was set on that road, she was no longer needed, as what he set off, and discovered, was much bigger than her.

It was good that we saw her after all was said and done, though. Not seeing her again would have been quite odd.

I have a feeling that the sequel will be directly connected to what happened in this.

I just threw up a little in my mouth.

she would have just slowed him down

so many movies, so little time

All of her roles should be small. She is very annoying and just mumbles and does bad acting to go along with her horrible political taste IRL.

She did an awesome job with the small role she had.
Ms. Moretz is a great actress of her Generation, but she doen't always need a leading role. Supporting roles also benefit from being given to good actors.
