Why did he put boiling honey in his gunshot wound?
I assumed he boiled it to cauterize the wound but why honey?

shareRaw honey has excellent antibacterial and therapeutic properties.

It isn't a gunshot wound. I've watched the sequence many times and the only time he could've gotten injured is in the altercation with the fake telephone worker in the cafe.
Anyway, he's treating the wound in a way we are to assume he's learned in his experiences of getting wounded, though as a nurse myself I question the use of honey. That much pure sugar would initiate an absolute hoard of bacteria.

Yeah, that's the only time he could've sustained any kind of wound. I'll have to look for the spray of blood next time.
shareI thought he was going to throw it on the Russians.
Anyways, I'm sure there are better remedies that could easily be bought at a pharmacy than having to boil honey. And I would also think that boiling it would eliminate the healing properties. I was waiting for him to go gather some moss next.
