Haven't watched the original
I'm checking out the original next. I honestly didn't see it because of laziness and that's on me. Nuff said about that.
I actually enjoyed this silly horror film. It's pretty fun. It's definitely flawed, but without comparing it to the original, I'd watch it again. It's dumb, beautiful, gory, strange, and over the top. It's a cash grab remake that's actually more fun than scary. That's fine because entertainment is the key. Too many remakes aren't fun. This one is and I can't wait to see the original.
