I'm glad this found an audience on DVD.

I only noticed today, after watching last night, that this film made $9.43m in DVD rentals (http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=homevideo&id=blackchristmas.htm) and then sold 1.9million copies of the DVD which grossed $29,500,000. (http://www.the-numbers.com/movies/2006/BLKCH-DVD.php). Wow. I had no idea it was so successful on home video.

It has a pretty eye-catching DVD cover.

With that kind of dough where is the sequel?

reply

Yes! I saw it in theaters and own the DVD. SEARCHING for the bluray that was 'available'. This movie is growing year by year!

I'm actually thinking about buying the German Blu-ray for this, along with Slither.

And for the record, I never thought you were cool. I only thought you were a lesbian.

There's a Canadian Blu-ray available that will play on North American DVD players, but it's getting increasingly hard to find. You can get it from Amazon Canada but it's near impossible to find anywhere else. I ordered one a few days ago, and it only cost me $18 with shipping, USD. Definitely worth it to be able to own this on Blu. Kind of insane that it never got Blu-ray treatment in the US.

Actually, I just watched this on SyFy. Never heard of this movie when it first came out.
