the "Christmas lights machine" from the trailer

it's still fun to speculate about exactly what that was supposed to be.

anyone wanna take a stab at it?

the only somewhat plausible scenario I could imagine is that Dana had christmas lights tied around her ankle, and somehow a bunch of the lights got tangled in a wood chipper, and the machine was turned on, pulling the lights in the wood chipper and her with it. that would have been a cool death... very cinematic. it looked amazing in the trailer. I was so irritated when I found out it wasn't in the movie. I almost didn't even bother watching it. I also liked the scenes in the trailer of Dana tangled in lights and falling off of the second story of the house.. and of another woman over a frozen pool and a girl's hand reaching through the snow... though that would have made no sense seeing as she wouldn't be able to move her arm if she was frozen under the ice.
