There is one scene that George Clooney looks like "the monster."
shareI noticed, not only what you saw in his close-ups, but there is a long scene which I believe to be an homage to the film, "Frankenstein"(1931) directly. The discovery of Toby McGuire's body appears to be staged exactly where they filmed the tossing of "Maria" into the lake by the "monster."
