The 'real life' good German

was Werner von Braun, who was involved in slave labor during the war, but later was made into a 'star' American scientist by Walt Disney studios, and who laid the groundwork for NASA

reply

By "involved in slave labor", so you mean Von Braun worked slave labor and that makes him a Good German?

Yes, and this didn't go unnoticed by the American public. We don't recall today, how "practical" the US was about global politics during the cold war:

No such thing as a good German. They're all arrogant and proud when they should be ashamed and embarrassed of their heritage.
Germans have a long history of anti-semitism. If you think it was magically cured with the suicide of Hitler in 1945, you are a delusional fool, and should probably read a lot more about post-war efforts attempting to bring German culture into the civilized world.

Do you even know any Germans? What nationality is NOT arrogant and proud? Do you hold the same contempt for the Japanese? Or Americans who probably are the most arrogant of anyone? And who doesn't have a long history of anti-Semitism?

70 years later people are still demanding that every single German apologize and confess to heinous war crimes. The German people were victimized like everyone else - by their own government no less. Pretty easy to look back in hindsight and be so harshly judgmental about something you didn't live though. You act like it was so simple to stand up to the Nazis. I'd like to see how you would have done that and stayed alive.

Do you harass rape victims and demand they talk and rehash their story every day for the rest of their lives? Why must the Germans still be harassed? Even Americans aren't given as much grief for their treatment of Native Americans or Blacks anymore. Stop the ridiculous ignorant hate already.

The people you idolize wouldn't like you.
