not a bad film
I liked the B&W which reminded me of The Third Man without the zither music. The ending needed Claude Raines and Bogart marching off to join the Foreign Legion after Blanchett/Ingrid Bergman got on the plane.
Interesting part for George C. since I think he got his a$$ kicked in every fight scene he was in.
Ms. Blanchett should have gotten an award for allowing the most unflattering photography of an actress in history. New found respect for the lady, she is a pro not a prima donna. Well cast as Katherine Hepburn in The Aviator.
Good casting. I always enjoy Jack Thompson, McGuire looked odd being a very un-Spiderman super hero type nasty who could have at least gotten a more military haircut...maybe he had superpowers since he shifted gears in the Jeep with a broken shoulder. Bridges could not wait for it all to end so he could go back to sleep...and finally Robin Weigart did a great job of being a German hooker with the heart of Calamity Jane, a tough cookie. She is a great actress who I hope we see in more parts although she'll never top Jane.
Well worth the cost of the electricity to run the T.V. set.
