Car Accident
In the scenes with the car accident why does the bridge disappear? and why is their car the only one that falls in the sea?

shareThe bridge temporarily disappears in a kind of time ripple thing. In the time that the ripple takes them to, no bridge has been built there yet.
The other cars go out before the one we as viewers follow, so they might've already sunk by the time "our" car takes the plunge, considering how quick that was. Or, to put it cynically, they weren't a part of the actual story and therefore were of no consequence. But I prefer the first explanation. ;)

[DON'T PANIC]
I thought it was silly that they didn't film how they swum out of the water (twice) There was nothing on that bridge that you could climb easily.
shareI thought the same.
How in hell did they get back to the ground so fast?... and why did they appear in the next scene soaking wet? I mean, did someone rescue them and immediately sent them to the next site? No drying? No change of clothes? Silly. Almost stupid.
AND by the way.... the rest of the cars should have plunged into the water too, in the same scene. I believe the events weren´t happening exclusively to the movie characters'. They were collective and simultaneous. As it showed in the "nazi boy" scene on the street (why did they put that there, anyway? Hitler won WWII because of...........???? What?)
Here's my take on it... throughout the show, the main characters are shown as the only ones fully aware of the time ripples and the changes that happen when they appear. To put it in "sci-fi" terms, each main character is surrounded by a protective bubble of their own space-time which allows them to remain grounded to their own perceived reality while experiencing the changed realities created by the time ripples. In the bridge scene, I would further postulate that the proximity of two of the main characters allowed their bubbles to "merge".. encompassing not only the girl's father, but also the car itself. That is why when the ripples came through, their entire car came through with them. Unfortunately, on the other side of the ripple, there was no bridge for the car to ride upon. The reason the other cars didn't come through and/or fall with them is that they were not "of" the new reality. I don't think "time ripple" is a good description of the waves they see before each "event".. they're more like ripples in the very fabric of reality.. parallel dimensions.. in one dimension, there is a bridge and other cars. In the other dimension, the bridge was never built, therefore no other cars to fall with them.
shareObviously those piers will have ladders up them, what if your car flips and goes over a rail? "Oh damn, I better get busy drowning because no one ever thought to give us a way out of the water!"
Use yer noodle, laddie! Evolution gives you a supercomputer and all you use it for is working out how to get pickles out of a jar?
