LOL Lithuania is landlocked - WHAT???

OMG this is exactly why people around the world don't think very high of americans...
SRSLY?? they KEPT the scene where this lady "scientist" (who's an oceanographer or smth, so she should know better) says out loud "I thought Lithuania was landlocked" with this knowing look on her face?? people, gotta check the facts before writing dialogues... maybe Lithuania was landlocked, like, when there were Gondwana & Laurasia... nope, not even back then.
omg... I wish Eric Stoltz would choose his roles better, so I wouldn't have to bump into this level of ridiculousness while looking for smth to watch that has him.

Threat level "Holy cr@p!"

"Why people don't think highly of Americans?" WTF? What part of the BBC do you see as 'American'? (BRITISH BROADCASTING COMPANY for your clarification.)

reply

Maybe he was referring to the fact that the three credited writers are American. Hence the dialogue was written by Americans.

Exactly, all dialog came from American writing. Nice one mnbush on somewhat proving the OP's point about Americans and their lack of paying attention.

Though I have to say to the OP that it might not be too hard to think Lithuania was landlocked, it's not really a big nation is it? Literally or otherwise. I know enough of geography to raise my eyebrow in surprise when she said that line, but then I thought the only real reason she would know better is because she works in water, I assumed she should at least know the Baltic countries from any time looking at a map of the Baltic sea.
