Were they actually serious with this movie, it's a joke!
It's a better comedy than whatever they were trying to be.

No the worst remake was "Psycho" that was a complete copy of the original. offered nothing new or interesting. Although this film was hardly a masterpiece at least it brought some innovation over the original and i thought it was an all right film (as a comedy)

I'd venture "Clash of the Titans" and "The Ladykillers" and Rob Zombie's "Halloween" as all being up there, but this could def be it as well..

Psycho is the worst remake ever, but this is down there among the worst. It was completely unneccessary and hilarious for all the wrong reasons.

Based on the ever increasing speed that films are being remade as they have run out of ideas, to say anything is the worst ever is likely to shift very quickly.

I've heard they are going to do a remake of The King's Speech next year.
