"The hour is come but not the man"
So your saying Ghost Rider National Treasure and Gone in Sixty Seconds are worst than this movie. I've seen many of his movies and this is by far his worst movie.
shareYou were 13 years old when you made this comment. People under 18 aren't allowed to have opinions! He's made many worse movies than The Wicker Man. I was gonna name Ghost Rider and Gone In 60 Seconds but I forgot all these others listed on this thread. I'd much rather walk The Wicker Man than Face-Off too
shareI have to say this film is the biggest pile of crap I've ever seen, with or without Nicholas Cage, and he did some good films:
Next
Face off
National Treasure (you're wrong about this)
Bringing out the Dead
The Rock
The Weatherman
(and more recently) The Knowing
It's pretty petty to condemn ALL Nicholas Cages work as awful, the guy can act (albeit rather woodenly), he just seems to pick some rather crappy roles.
Maybe these films won't get on your favourites list but if there was only 100 really good films in existence and no mediocre/bad ones the film industry wouldn't exist in the first place.
Oh, come on, national treasure was awesome satire of Indiana Jones. you just dont have to look at it seriously.

Applied Science? All science is applied. Eventually.
Exactly, Strazdamonas. I never understood the hate the National Treasure movies get. They're not supposed to be Citizen Kane, they're just good fun.
shareI agree that National Treasure is a good enough movie. It's called entertainment people!
shareIf you were to ask me, every movie Cage makes is his worst movie. The guy's so bad it's not even funny.
shareThe Rock was a great action movie, partly because of the interplay between Cage and Connery. (All the other leads were good too. Even though some of the tension was typical for an action movie, the writers did a much better job than is usual for the genre.)
sharethere is no such thing as the worst movie nicholas cage has done...thats like saying the worst mutilation of your private parts ever, or the worst 18 wheeler that ran over you ever, or the worst death of a close family member ever or the worst...
shareThe director did not help. Could anyone hav dragged out a meaningless scene for just one more minute. during some scenes I was like Stop! in the name of all that which does not suck!
shareGood point. but this was pretty bad even by Cage standards. Damn, I wish I had an uncle who was just able to help me get a mid level management job...

"Life is cheap. It only takes one bullet."
You know....he can actually act in Adaptation, I have to say, it was a great performance.
shareMatchstick Men was also a fine film, starring Nick Cage...oh and Lord of War.
But I will have to say that Wicker Man....one of the worst movies ever along with the movie Cursed, they are my least liked movies. The two times I ever thought of leaving the theatre...but didnt because I paid money....and sheer determination to actually have seen the movie and have a full reason to dislike it.
I may get some flack but I actually liked the National Treasure movies, they are daft but they are fun as well, well for me that is. The Wicker Man is for me definitely Nicholas Cage's worst movie, Cage just sleepwalked in his role, and the film itself was just awful. Out of the remakes I have seen, this is the only one along with the Psycho remake that has the phrase "completely unneccessary" written all over it.

Once, you realize this film is a comedy it becomes much more watchable.

... Now that's a *beep* !
How he gets cast so often is a mystery. But this is by far his worst moment. He must have signed on without reading the script judging by the acting. Plus it has the sense of being shot quickly so everyone could run away.
shareHe is certainly acting without reading the script. Or reading the script without acting. Or something.
The church may shout but Darwin roars
Every film Nicholas Cage has been in is real *beep* especially the Remakes he's stared in.
shareBoultersCanary
season of the witch is not out yet and you think its a bad movie lol. Im not expecting much either but you have to see the movie first to comment on it
I'm surpised no one's mentioned 8 MM yet. The way he plays this hard-boiled private eye, but then almost breaks down crying like a baby when he sees a porn produder getting a blow job. Classic.
shareMan there's too many people who are saying "every film he's been in is the worst one!" which is a total crock of s hit, he has knocked a few flicks right outta the park.
Here's a list of damn fine jobs he's done.
Raising Arizona
Wild At Heart
Leaving Las Vegas
Adaptation
Bad Lieutenant (was actually pretty sweet, though not as good as the Keitel version)
The Weather Man
Bringing Out The Dead
Kick Ass
Also heard good things about Matchstick Men and a lot of people like him in Face Off and the Rock.
Yeah he's been in some awful movies but the guy's in debt, he's gotta pay off those bills and take some terrible projects. Oh well.
I Was Here But I Disapear
Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans was TERRIBLE! Werner Herzog tried to apologize for his drug use and other bad behaviors because he got hurt. Poor baby.
Kick Ass was good, but Nick Cage was not good in it. At least they set him on fire. (A lot of film makers choose to do this.)
I will give you that Mr. Cage played a convincing dumb-ass in Raising Arizona.
His best movies were: G-Force and Astroboy. ;)
I really liked "Face/Off', but that was mainly because of the plot (as unrealistic as it was) and John Travolta's tremendous acting (especially as the bad guy).
shareThis movie made me want to cry, not because I felt for anything they were trying to provoke on t me, but because I payed money for it....it is in my movie pile and I want it the hell out! It was just terrible! Terrible plotline, terrible acting, terrible everything! Im the kind of guy who can find something good out of any movie, so if I ever give one a bad review you better believe it's *beep* horrible! As far as Im concerned the only thing this movie gave us was the line "NO! NOT THE BEES AHHHHHH!" Worst four bucks I have ever spent in my life...I would rather watch paint dry, cuz that is good free fun and wen it's finished I don't put my head in my ands and say 'Wtf just happened, why would walgreens do this to me? What did I do to anger you God!?"
