Are there any revenge/vigilante movies where they condemn the vigilante?

It seems with revenge movies they always glamorize the vigilante like Dirty Harry, Harry Brown, Punisher War Zone etc. Why does these movies try to get us to believe it is ok to go shoot people if they do something wrong?

I want to know if there is a movie where they dont portray the vigilante as a hero? but a misjudged, lost soul or something.

Movies deal with fantasy. Whether it's the pefect love story, the underdog athlete winning the championship, the cop always catching the bad guy...

In real life, people know that bad people get away with bad things and move on because life isn't perfect. There has to be an outlet where people can see that at least in fiction, bad guys can get what's coming to them...That is fantasy. That doesn't mean I want some lunatic running around shooting bad guys.

There are plenty of stories (tv, movies, novels) that deal with vigilantes that way...

Morally ambigous vigilante films are a plenty: Unforgiven, Taxi Driver, Falling Down, Brute, etc.

I recommend the Korean movie, I Saw The Devil. Like the Punisher, the protagonist is a special ops expert whose wife is horribly murdered by a serial killer. This movie is totally serious and has no laughs or campy behavior. The protagonist is driven over the edge and starts doing questionable, then horrendous things. By the film's end, he has a mental breakdown. Don't miss the deleted ending scene on the DVD to show what his future portends, it's chilling.
