Robocop and Punisher: War Zone

I think the movies are really in the same family: Both are extremely violent, both are over the top and ridiculous and proud of it, and both have a saritical undertone (the American flag speech of jigsaw in P:WZ) (although Robocop is arguably a little more satirical).
Robocop is seen as a great movie by many people, but this movie has gotten a lot of sh*t. I think that isn't fair, and it is entirely the fault of the critics, and not of the movie.

They are in the same family, but that is about it.

You liked it because you like Punisher. I see no objective reasoning as to why this movie is great. Cherry and bright red both are in the 'red' family, but look different. I like cherry better, but that doesn't make it a better color.

An, as the other poster said: it is definitely NOT a masterpiece. I liked it, would give it a 7 out of 10, but in the end it is just an action flick like any early Stallone/ Willis/ Schwarzenegger movie. With a touch of emotions, since we had a female director...

That's because while RoboCop was a parody of American culture that mixed in themes of America's industrial decay, the militarization of police, and the dehumanizing effects of technology and corporations, along with a ton of memorable lines, PWZ is just a parody of the Punisher and a boring, cartoony action movie.

I agree it's not as good as Robocop (though Robocop) and perhaps the similarities aren't as big as I pointed out. But I still like PWZ.

and both suck for action scenes I cant tell what is happening, are they in the same room? who knows? Their both garbage movies for dumb people who like zoomed in pics of faces, both movies are so zoomed in I can never tell what is going on.

START THE REVOLUTION! SHRED THE GOVERNMENT! My favorite movie is V for Vendetta.
