I remember years ago, reading rumors of a planned sequel involving both Punisher and Daredevil. Was there any truth to this or was it just fansite nonsense? - In fact, it may have been here that I read it.

any speculation of war zone having a sequel after it's release was complete utter nonsense. war zone had a miserable 4 million dollar opening weekend and an embarrassing 8 million dollar total gross in a hilarious 2 and half to 3 week theatrical run. but even most damning is that the previous film, the one that was supposedly soooo bad, the reason why they rebooted the series, made significantly more than war zone. factoring all that in, i don't know how anyone (fan, or legitimate people involved in film) could have speculated about a sequel to this movie. the set of circumstances are so obvious as to why there wasn't a sequel.
shareThere won't be any sequel. Marvel is making too much money promoting other heroes such as the Guardians of the Galaxy. They'd be silly to refocus on heroes with a smaller audience.
Punisher fans have had a good run: three movies, with only one, the Dolph Lundgren one, being bad, and the other two being pretty good in different ways.

so are Jason and Freddy but that got made, I dunno Punisher and Daredevil, thats kind of an odd pairing? Id get batman and Punisher that would be interesting but not really DD and Pun.
