Just Stop Comparing 'War Zone' with Previous Movies !!

Why on Earth so much hate toward this movie ?

I watched 1989 (Dolph Lundgren) version first. It was just ok-ok (5/10 for the effort ?)

Then came the big one, 2004 (Thomas Jane) version, for MANY 'The Holy Grail'. I did enjoy the movie, but in NO WAY the script correctly portrayed The Punisher for what he is (comic character). Yes, it is the initial year or how the Punisher was born, so all is well. 6 or 7 / 10.

Then came the War Zone. Ray Stevenson is not much of an actor, the plot had a million holes, the villain didn't have the 'charisma'.... BUT the movie portrayed WHAT PUNISHER SHOULD BE ! He is not the friendly neighbor hero, he is ruthless. Every idiot saying "War Zone was so gory" needs to check the title again! This ain't Captain America to be all fair and righteous ! So with ALL the flaws, I WAS ENTERTAINED, like reading a comic book of Punisher. For that, 7 or 8 /10.

Talk about double standards, just see the reception of (I LOVED it, just to be clear) 'Dirty Laundry' (2012, fan-film, Thomas Jane) ! In less than 11 minutes, you see blood and guts everywhere ! Oh, but that is fine with everyone!!

What the hell is wrong with you people ? You want Disney to roll-out the next Punisher flick (if it ever be one) ? You want Tom Hanks in leading role ? You want a plot like Mission Impossible (1) ????

If "no", that is exactly what every hater without a reason is sounding like. The character of Punisher is way different than any other superhero around, so saying "no gore" is simply killing that very character.
