'Call me Jigsaw!'... nahhh, we'll call you the guy who ruined this movie

Jigsaw and Looney Bin Jim were the dumbest, stupidest, most idiotic characters that I've ever seen in a movie. Who refers to their brother as "brother?" Honestly.... Jesus Christ. I loved Ray Stevenson as Punisher, albeit he was lacking as Frank Castle, but Jesus.... the stupid over-the-top villains are the most painful part of this movie. Punisher punches a guy's face in, okay, I'm down with it. But "is this yours, brother?" when they walk into that building... somebody cut my throat, please. The Punisher is not Batman. Why would you make his villains into Jokers? Come on.... ughhhh, I like this movie, but gaddamnit, the villains are so poorly acted, so poory portrayed, it makes me want to puke.

Facts are meaningless. You could use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true!

I agree.

I hate Jigsaw in the comics, and I hate him even more here. Dominic West was pure garbage here, him that retard brother of his wrecked every scene they were in. To bad, beacuse whenever they are NOT on screen, the movie is pretty good.

It is on TV now and I came here to post exactly what you just did. Jigsaw and that other idiot came off as cartoon characters. Jigsaw should have been more dark and brooding; someone who I could have believed could beat The Punisher. The movie is great, but if those characters were better portrayed, it would have been much better and in line with the dark theme.

The villains were so achingly bad and cliched it hurt. I would have rather had plainer, forgettable bad guys rather than this rediculous crap. I felt like I was watching performances from the old Batman TV show.

reply

I agree, the bad guys suck in this. Ray is my fave Punisher though, I liked Dolph, but most people fave Thomas Jane i thought was too nice.

You ever read the old comics? Dominic West's broad, *beep* take was pitch perfect for Jigsaw--he's loud and arrogant, but also charismatic (even despite his disfigurement) and a helluva gang leader.

reply

I liked them,I thought Doug did a good job as Looney Bin Jim

The people that ruined the movie were the writers who wrote this mess and the director who never had a clue.

reply

I agree 100%. It had the look of the Punisher, it had the feel of the Punisher, it really could have been the best one of them all. But then they put in Jigsaw and his brother. They turned a dark, gritty, R-rated masterpiece into a PG-rated kiddie flick. What the *beep* were they thinking?

Eh, what else did you expect from characters with their background? While they were entertaining in their own way, I guess the movie could have had a bigger impact if their character were handled differently (maybe even get rid of Loony Bin Jim).
