Just watched Catacombs yesterday and I have to say that the plot and overall idea seems to be stolen straight from Creep. It's definitely not executed as well though. This film didn't create any real sense of dread or anxiety and was pretty poor. The ending is a terrible version of April Fool's Day in which they tried to add on Shannon Sossymon going crazy which didn't really fit in at all and didn't make sense. I give it a 5/10.

Personally, I thought the Shannon going crazy was one of the few parts that made sense. I don't understand why it wouldn't make sense. She spent the entire movie putting her mind and body through all sort of madness, forced to defend herself by killing someone, discovers it was all a joke, then gets the blame put on her by the same people who have put her through it.
I don't imagine too many people would act well at that point.
I just thought all of the reactions by the characters in that final scene were not believable at all. Pink's incessant blaming of Shannon's character was a bit over the top. And I just don't see someone going crazy at a situation like that and killing her own sister and a bunch of others. I guess it's just a matter of opinion though.

I had also thought Pink's reaction was believable. It seems to me that Pink never liked her sister much and the fact that she just killed one of Pink's friends was sort of a catalyst to validate all of Pink's feelings about her.
As for Shannon's reaction, I must admit that I am rather surprise you don't believe that someone could react like that in such a situation. Furthermore, your post seems to imply that the situation that occurred in the movie wasn't really that extreme (I'm of the opposite opinion). May I ask what would you consider a proper reaction?
I would definitely expect her to be upset and traumatized by the situation. There's no doubt that it's devastating to have left a man to die and to have caused the death of another person. I think that anyone in Shannon's position would have realized that it was an honest mistake though. While it must surely be shocking to kill someone, she truly believed he wanted to kill her. I wouldn't expect her to just start hacking people up though. I would expect someone in the situation to just leave the situation scarred but not psychotic.

Anyone in Shannon's position would have realized it's an honest mistake? That's a rather optimistic view. Many people, I think, have blamed themselves on matters not nearly as severe.
Anyway, we really are of the opposite opinion on this. Ah well.
