A Great Family Movie

I have to say that I had read alot of bad reviews before watching this movie and If as a 35 year old watching it own my own I might have agreed but I watched this movie with my family, my kids are 9 and 5 and their most watched dvd is Cheaper by the Dozen 2 so that tells you something, and they thought RV was hilarious. They couldnt stop laughing, As adults we have seen far more movies than kids so when these films come along its not original and not very funny, but do you know what, laughter is infectious as my kids cracked up so did I. Movies work on different levels and this is a great movie for pre teens.

I have to agree, this is a excellent movie for family or for smaller children or for people who have easy to laugh.
I just think that RV produces forced laughs, they took the stuff you have seen in previous movies and puts it here to somehow force you to laugh.
But thats just my opinion.

I agree, this is definately one of the few kids/family oriented films I can even really get into ("Daddy Day Care" being another). Sure some of it's stupid and would only appeal to kids, but Robin Williams makes things a lot more tolerable, along with scenes like him trying to get that seat belt to work that keeps locking in place, something I'm sure everyone got pissed off about, lol.

It is a funny movie. Watch it a couple of times. The first time I thought it was a kids movie and forced comedy etc.

But if you watch it a second time, you get the subtle jokes that you may not have caught at first. Those are the jokes that are the best. There's plenty of non cheesy jokes. But they aren't laugh out loud the first time you watch it.
