jeff daniels
Jeff Daniels stole this movie in my opinion.
The movie was mediocre at best with its predictability, etc. But, Jeff Daniels was just so funny.
Plus, he looked really darned good!

Well, on the commentary track, Barry Sonnenfeld explains there was a lot of Jeff's stuff cut because of time restraints. Some of the deleted scenes could have made the film, but I think they wanted a 100 minute movie and nothing more.
Of course, if you don't listen to the commentary on the DVD, you'll miss it and the hilarious deleted scenes!
Oh please. The monroe's were funny. Robin Williams was funny.
shareI didn't notice this until the second time I saw the movie, but in the scene where Robin Williams' character (Bob Munroe) first meets Jeff Daniels, (Travis Gornicke) the camera starts at the boots and then pans up slowly until you see Gornicke's face. As the camera passes the crotch, there is a HUGE bulge in Daniels' pants, so either Jeff Daniels is hung like a horse, or that was added for subtle (or maybe not so subtle) effect.
There is all kinds of subtle comedy bits in this movie - if you have only ever watched this movie once, it bears watching again and keeping a lookout for those small things - they make the movie funnier and more enjoyable.
a large Johnson doesn't make a movie more enjoyable. But that's just me.
Plus I thought it was pretty small compared to mine.
Right - I think you completely missed the point that was trying to be made in the movie, and that was the comparison being drawn between Robin Williams' character - not so manly - and Jeff Daniels' character - very masculine and manly. Again, it wasn't meant to make the movie more enjoyable as it was to simply add it in for comparison and comedic effect.
