The Gornickes
I've said it before and I say it again, you gotta love the Gornickes. They're just so whacky and they're clearly still in the 'young and in love' phase of their lives and they're just terrific. Anybody agree?

I absolutely adored them! I didn't get why the main family disliked them so much. They were so helpful, welcoming, and friendly. The parents were clearly in love and adored their children. The children loved their parents (unlike Cassie who was the brattiest thing ever) and they had a bond with each other. I liked how gypsy-like their lifestyle was: traveling, spontaneous, out of the system. I think they were so likable!
shareThey were, and I really loved how somehow they made it all work, like okay, they live in a bus, but the mom cooks in there?, and they do schooling on the road advanced enough they're practically ready for college, that's largely the kind of life you would dream about having, being able to go anywhere at any time on the road, and everybody's happy and gets along with everybody else, far better than the alternatives LIKE the Munros who can't stand each other.
shareClassism, pure and simple. The Gornickes are prole -- and happy to be so.
shareThey're not particularly wacky, and murdering animals for food is evil, not 'wacky'.
Also, I think it's 'wacky', as 'whacking' has a very different meaning.
It's very presumptuous of you to use the word 'still'. This implies it's a short-lived phase that will end sooner or later. How do you know that? How do you know they won't ALWAYS be 'still' in that 'phase'? What if it's not a phase, but actual love and respect for each other that rises to levels that creates ongoing excitement?
What if that is their personalities?
So all you are really saying, is 'we have an obligation to love' and the reason is 'they are terrific'.
I wish you had more content in your post to reply to, as you are not really saying anything.
I, for one, would welcome and like their company for their good hearts, willingness to help out even strangers, kindness, compassion and fairness - and maybe most importantly, honesty. If it wasn't for the animal murdering lust they have, I would be grateful and honored, and love to be their frien and have them as my friends.
See, it's easy to think of a reason and type it here. That's what these boards are for. So if you are going to gush like that, at least write a reason why, other than 'just terrific', for crying out loud.
