If they did a series 3

Which directors would you want to see do episodes I think
Rob Zombie
Eli Roth
Neil Marshall
Anybody else you can think of?

reply

Rob Zombie is a hack. The only way a Masters of Horror instalment directed by him would work would be if he re-made an existing film and shied away from directing an original work.

I wouldn't mind seeing more instalments from most of the directors who contributed to the first two seasons. If more directors were to contribute to the series, I wouldn't mind seeing work from Sam Raimi, George Romero, Alex Chandon, Dan O'Bannon, and Ruggero Deodato (and any other directors who would have supposedly contributed to the Italian Masters of Horror).

reply

Agreed with Neil Marshall, Sam Raimi and George Romero. Add...

Guillermo Del Toro
Ti West
Oren Peli
Wes Craven
Fernando Barreda Luna

and another John Carpenter since his were the best episodes.

If I were to pick 13 directors, my choices would be:

John Carpenter
Wes Craven
Don Coscarelli
Sam Raimi
Stuart Gordon
Tobe Hooper
George A. Romero
John Landis
Joe Dante
Tom Holland
James Wan
Rob Zombie
Oren Peli

It'd also be cool if they could get at least one Friday The 13th director onboard. Maybe Steve Miner (F13 Parts 2 and 3, plus Warlock and Halloween H20), Joseph Zito (F13: The Final Chapter and The Prowler) or Tom McLaughlin (F13 Part VI: Jason Lives, Sometimes They Come Back and One Dark Night) could contribute an episode.

reply

Guillermo Del Toro
Andrey Iskanov
John Carpenter
Hideaki Anno (animated)
Darren Aronofsky

reply

They did do a 3rd season in 2008. It was called "Fear Itself".
