no love for deer woman

i found my way to this series via takashi miike. i decided to just download the episodes that interested me, and have just watched deer woman. why no love for this episode in the shape of a dedicated thread? sure it is not particulary scary, but it is very funny, intentionally so, with a really sharp script and some good acting. makes me wish john landis was still making horror films.

For me that's the problem. It's not a horror. It's a pseudo-comedy. Although I do not agree that it is "very funny." But for sure they were definitely trying hard to be funny.

I found the dream sequences, for example, to be a complete waste of screen-time.

Agreed. Landis neutered his filmmaking potential with Deer Woman and that's a shame.

I really liked deer woman, but the ending was so abrupt, no resolution whatsoever.
