Cigarette Burns-Normens disappearing accent...

I watched the beginning of the episode a few times just to be sure...but it seems as if Norman Reedus's character has an accent at the beginning of the movie, but minutes in it seems to gradually fade away really fast. Am i the ONLY one to notice this?

I just watched it. What accent did you think he had? He sounded American throughout the entire show.
