I've only been on a couple subway cars, but the distance this continues after derailing and hitting multiple objects seemed laughable. How fast do those cars go at max speed?

That’s just one of the problems with CGI—the destruction not only defies physics, but goes on for as long as the director wants it to. That scene reminded me of the interminable mine cart roller coaster sequences from an Indiana Jones movie.

I love this movie, but the CGI in that scene is piss poor quality. It's aged very badly. It's almost as bad as the scene in Contact when the machine explodes.

I just checked, max subway speed is 55 mph, but normally 30-40 mph between stations.

No way that would have traveled that far at 40 mph. Now i need to go and rewatch Contact too. Been a long time.
