Anyone else sadden by this film?
People just gone, all the rest of the animals not just those rabbits. Our beautiful planet gone.

And that is one of the reasons it was slammed. Total downer of an ending. The tragedy is not just the end of mankind, but the end of everything we created (music, art, literature, etc.) and the end of our amazing planet (the plants, the ecosystems, the beautiful and amazing animals).
It was a SERIOUSLY depressing ending :( I don't buy that just a few kids and bunny rabbits can compensate for the loss of EVERYTHING. Ultimately this WILL happen a long long time from now, so I guess we ARE clinging to something that is transient. Our sun WILL die someday. Earth will be rendered uninhabitable someday. I just hope we're all of exploring the universe when that happens :D

I was too nauseated to be that sad. A moose ran around on fire. Nicholas Cage shouted at a guy on fire. Rose Byrne spazzed out. David Bowie and his alien/angel buddies were creeping me out the whole time. By the time the planet got roasted I was just glad it was over.
