This Movie Should be a Wake up call to America:

There is some evidence that a solar flare has wiped out life a large numbers. But, what I find interesting is a solar flare the causes far less damage but wipes out the network of the electrical grid. Everything went digital and transformers take a longtime to make and cost a lot of money. If the American government does not have a stock pile deep underground, life for those that survived will be bleak, the old and young will pay the price first, food and drugs will run out fast.

The American government has a vast underground network, that most people have no clue, including the "Shadow Government"

Comprising the country’s Continuity of Government (COG) plan, these directives, which do not need congressional approval, provide a skeletal outline of the actions the executive will take in the event of a “national emergency.”

In fact, they go so far as to grant the president the power to unilaterally declare a national emergency, which is loosely defined as “any incident, regardless of location, that results in extraordinary levels of mass casualties, damage, or disruption severely affecting the U.S. population, infrastructure, environment, economy, or government functions.”

What would come out of this disaster would be un-thinkable, all out civil war between city and states, as many as a 100 million could die in just 2 months. And then their the 64 million dollar question, what type of government would rise out of the ashes.
