So what happens to the kids on the 'New Earth?'

So what happens to all the kids taken?

Did the aliens just dump them there to run wild with no supervision, teaching, or rules of any kind?

And why could adults not here or communicate with the aliens?

reply

Would be fitting if they lit a fire and roasted the kids alive with some alien bbq sauce and maybe some grilled asparagus spears on the side. That's what you get for letting your kid go off with a bunch of strange creepy entities.

They're expected to screw like bunnies and repopulate, hence the obvious symbolism with the rabbits they are given. (rabbits which subsequently disappear en route to the humpworld)

reply

Kids that age screw? Gross............

Ah. The aliens breeding a new slave race.

reply

Ha ha! Humpworld...

reply

What do you mean rabbits disappeared? The children dropped them on ground on new planet didn't they!?

reply

The two children who were saved represent Adam and Eve at a new "Paradise". They are pure, with no sign of hate or violence and they love nature and animals (it's shown clearly in the movie). So those two are given the chance to start a new "earth", since the last one was destroyed by humans' choices and alazony.

reply

^^ Yes.

I also think it's symbolic of the spiritual law "all life meant to survive will find a way."

reply

Actually in the movie the last one was destroyed by an act of nature. A huge solar flare...

I thought there was more then those two kids taken on the alien ships. That there were a bunch of others..

Idiot aliens obviously never researched puberty and adulthood. They are in for a grand surprise.

You're adopted!

reply

Puberty and adulthood are pretty much defined by a childs education and how you raise it. As well as by the environment they grow up. A child growing up in nature learns to accept and cherish it, a child that grows up in a violent family adopts violence as a natural thing...
so I guess that with the right guidance and a pure environment they can grow up and stay as pure and good as they were.

reply

You know... children that grow in violent families usually end up becoming the opposite of their parents, because they have tasted the pain and will want a normal happy life. Children that have become crime lords, mass murderers, dictators have their roots in normal, caring families.

But with puberty it's pure hormones and without society and control around those kids, it's gonna get ugly. Of course, aliens will whisper in their heads, i guess that would do it; but that will turn them into obedient pets, not humans. Humanity as we know it and as it has evolved and developed naturally is long lost with the destruction of Earth. Now they will be caged animals, like those castrated wild ones you find in zoo - totally deprived of their pure and prime natural beauty and substance.

As much as ugly we may seem and the horrible things we do, the way we embrace our demons or fight them, it's all part of the definition of being human, it has always been and will be. Everything else is a different species.

You're adopted!

With all due respect, everything you said is complete BS.

MuggySphere,
It never fails to amaze me why people on this forum ask such inane questions. If the makers of this movie decide to make a sequel about the "New Earth",then you will get an answer, until then, why the f--- does it matter?

reply

Well I guess once they had eaten the rabbits they would have starved to death...

The players of The Game are the scum of the earth

They were not the only 2 who survived and not all were just kids. There were hundreds of ships leaving Earth at the end of the movie. Are we to believe that each ship only carried one white boy and one white little girl? Are we to believe that ALL the saved humans were kids? The kid from the beginning grew up and knew where to be picked up, but she died. Also, the alien puts the sentence in the boy's mind, only the ones that heard the message can go. Does that mean only kids and/or adults? I would think there is way more diversity than what people picked up on. In my opinion, there are plenty of clues that say thousands of humans of all walks, colors, ages, were saved by the aliens.
