Couldn't agree more. I saw this in theaters when it came out, that scene just blows you away every single time. What an incredible single shot. Right before all the mega CGI hits really starting coming out (Avatar, Marvel & DC films) too.....just wonderfully executed
The scene quite honestly is unforgettable in that respect
A falling plane used to be one of a few re-occurring nightmares. When I first watched this film I freaked out a little at that scene.

Still, part of the joy of IMDB was picking up on odd topics from 10 years ago or something. IMDB might have been looking at the wrong metrics of community and wrongly assumed that it had no community at all.
Agreed. Also, replying to IMDb "ghost posts" still tends to get the ball rolling on a continuing discussion. Just wanted to make sure you know that the OP won't get any notice of a reply.
