Your Favourite Guest Star in the series......Whos Yours??!!

For me it has to be Les Dennis, seriously who would have thought he was that funny!!! I love his performance so self depreciating, and great delivery of some fantastic lines.

Who is your favourite??

i'm not from england but les dennis was sufficently funny until the very end, in the sex scene i coulnd't relate to the dialog there.

my favorite guest appearance is in between Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart.

reply

I loved Kate winslet doing the sex phone dirty talk and Orlando Bloom mocking Johnny Depp!

the appearance of Robert De Niro came out as a good surprise!

I know this is an old post & series --- but as a Yank who lived in the UK a bit -- a lot of Les humorous lines (like the sex scene) had to do with hsi big stints on the original British version of what we in the US call "Family Feud" game show ("survey says", "how many people polled said....") etc. Plus his stint on the (UK) Celebrity Big Brother (where Les apparently had a sort of "meltdown").

I think all the celeb guests were great and thought Les did quite a job -- but how about "Barry from Eastenders" (Shaun Williamson) always having to portray his downtrodden self throughout the series?

Difficult to single out even a few, let alone a single guest... I especially enjoyed - in no particular order - Patrick Stewart, Robert Lindsay, Ian McKellen, Robert De Niro, Kate Winslet, and Ben Stiller.

Oh, and David Bowie wasn't bad, either. ;)

reply

Patrick Stewart was hilarious. By far my favorite. :)

reply

Daniel Radcliffe

Ross Kemp & Les Dennis. I felt they were the more 'human' celebs of the show.

reply

Kate Winslet. She was hilarious.

Funnily enough in the episode she was in, she said that she is doing a holocaust movie only because it is proven that everyone who is doing one, gets an Oscar for sure. She even mentioned a few examples like Adrien Brody in the Pianist.

A few years later she really makes a holocaust movie and she gets her Oscar for real! LOLZ!

reply

Kate Winslet. Hands down.

I never expected to hear such filth coming out of her mouth lol!

I don't understand the question and I won't respond to it

reply

Kate Winslet. The final phone sex scene was too funny!

I agree completely with Ross Kemp and Les Dennis. For me, there wasn't a bad guest star at all - all were hilarious in their own way, but Ross Kemp and Les Dennis were just that little bit more special. Keith Chegwin was also surprisingly funny!

Just finished watching Series 2 for the first time (saw series 1 ages ago). Definately the greatest comedy of all time. I have a lot of respect for all the guest stars, they were rarely portrayed in a good way, and they were all a great sport. I think my favourite was Daniel Radcliffe...absolutely hilarious. But I don't think a single one disapointed me.

reply

De Niro.

You just did not expect him to show up AND then he is there! on a BBC sit com!

Its that man again!!

For those who mentioned Keith Chegwin.

I was watching that episode last night. He is BRILLIANT!

When he is talking to Andy about Gays at the BBC and that if there were truly Gays, God wouldn't have created Minges, put - knob - in - fanny!!! Seriously brilliant!!!

Oh and special mention to David Bowie and Little Fat Man song! :-)

If Americans were educated on Ross Kemp and his character on Eastenders as Grant Mitchell it woul be him.

Besides Les I'll say Patrick "I Seen Everything" Stewart, Kate Winslet, and Ian McKellar.

reply

They were all brilliant, Kemp and Dennis were fantastic, Vinnie jones was horrible ("real life hardman" my ass, he's been beaten up twice and ive never heard of him ever legitimately winning a fight, ross kemp would actually kill him)

reply

Whenever I hear about this series, the first thing that pops in to my mind is how funny Ian McKellen was.

So why don't extras get their names in the credits?

reply

Robert Lindsay, haha... he was a crack up.

"Oh, *beep* off, kids a waste of space"

:D

"Something wrong with your brain"

LOL.

All this to that kid that was dying.

reply

Thought Clive Owen was brilliant in his short bit, Patrick Stewart was also really funny.
