Would have made an OK episode of the series

The problem with this is that there just isn't enough story for a feature film. The film was at least 30 minutes too long. Also, the visual themes were more suited to the home screen--there was just no reason at all for it to have been a theatrical movie. It's like Carter just pulled out an unused TV script, adjusted it to be "ten years later" and shamelessly padded it with repetitive yap.

I was just about to write the same thing.I enjoyed this movie, but thought is felt like a two episode TV show arc and wasn't epic enough to be a feature film. I still enjoyed, I'm just glad I didn't pay to see it.

This is not a top 10 movie of all time but I enjoy I.W.T.B. more every time I watch it.

Perhaps if this had aired on television as a special TV movie or a two-part episode opening the upcoming revival series, people probably would've accepted it more. I think it works fine as a movie thriller, but I would've preferred an alien story similar to the original film.

Looks like most people wanted aliens but I'm O.K. with how it turned out. M & S on the big screen - what's not to love?!

Felt more like a "case-of-the-week" Fringe episode than a "monster-of-the-week" X-Files episode. Totally forgettable.

I can't believe this movie is in 1080p resolution and not the first movie

The stupid have one thing in common. They alter the facts to fit their views not the other way

There actually were episodes in the series, monster of the week episodes that were MUCH more interesting and cooler than this crap.

There were some episodes that already felt like mini movies to begin with, I almost wish they just had copied some of the best X Files episodes for this movie. They could have brought back Flukeman or something like that....

this was horrible
