Why was the arm cut off during the opening abduction scene?
This made no sense to me. The russian dude lops off his buds arm in the middle of their abduction. The *beep* for?

shareYou're right that it wouldn't make sense. That's because it was severed later and discarded in a different area.
shareI think it happened because the arm was just sewed on. That guy was just made up of random body parts taken from different people.
His arm probably got torn off when the woman they were abducting attacked her. So they were forced to just leave it behind in a hurry. That's why that Russian guy just hides it carelessly in the middle of a frozen lake.
I like what you're saying, I just wonder if it came off when he was fending off the agent with the gardening tool - why not take it with you so you're not leaving any evidence behind.
Terrible things Lawrence. You've done terrible things.
Yeah taking it with them would've made sense, but then again, a lot of things in this movie did not make any sense.
I wish they made a movie like the first one instead.
As mk_82 said earlier, the only thing that happened to the bald guys arm in the opening scene was that it got scratched/gouged with the garden tool.
It was later removed and replaced with arm of the abducted FBI agent, which is why it was shown in the operating room scene with her MedicAlert bracelet that was also shown on her arm in the opening scene.
They conducted the operation while abducting her? Cause neither of them were doctors, nor did they have the equipment.
Unless the arm finding scene takes place week later.. not sure if the movie specified when it took place. But it would make sense then.
