Yet another movie rendered unwatchable -

- by the infernal roaring sound in between dialog. Why do movies have this? Girl with the dragon tattoo was the same. "Good afternoon, Mrs Smith" roooooaaaarrrr "how are things with you?" Roooooaaaarrrr like a train going through a station. There is no roaring sound when I talk to someone in my living room!

reply

The two copies I've watched didn't have anything like this.

What on earth is the OP talking about? You must have defective equipment, or hearing.

reply

Hmmmmmm....no.

reply

The OP might seriously want to have his hearing checked out. For a while I thought movies I went to see were always just slightly out of focus, and I blamed the projectionists (back when there actually were projectionists). Then, of course, I realized my distance vision was deteriorating...I just needed glasses.

reply

Agreed. OP, get your hearing checked out. There was no roaring noise in this film.

reply

Have no idea wtf you're talking about.

You either

1) have defective hearing equipment
2) live near a train station
3) have activated a software effect that equalizes loudness which will amplify silent passages and thus make low sounds seem like roaring or whooshing.

reply

or

4) are really stupid.
