Good in the beginning but what happend??? (spoilers)

For the forst 40 minutes or so of this film I thought it was good, but then it seemed to lose it focus. At first it seemed like there would be a few twists and turns to keep us in our feet, but there wasnt at all. And how predictable was the 'baddy' in then end? Could they have made it anymore obvious??

Eva Longoria's part seemed pointless, she didnt need to be there at all and (it seemed to me) added bugger all to the investigation, I assumed she was hired as a translator, amongst other things but they seemed to focus on this, but only actually translated 1 sentance. She didnt seem to assist David in any way except for being a little shadow. Seriously why was she there??!!!

Keifer Sutherland was basically a restrained Jack Bauer! Micheal Douglas was pretty good and in my opinion made the best he could of a mediocre script.

Generally I feel that this film wasnt all bad, but the characters and the plot were thin, to say the least, it wasnt exciting in anyway and it was drenched with pointless characters.

I agree. I enjoyed the film for the most part, but agree that about halfway through it did lose its focus. I also agree with you about Eva Longoria's character. I thought that Longoria did a good job with the role but the character itself just didn't seem to fit into the script (in my humble opinion of course.) Overall I did like the film though.

Keifer and Michael made the most out of the script. Also, this was a good career role for Eva despite of her pointless role. With regards to the movie,at least the viewers were given a glimpse of an idea of how the Secret Service operates. But this is definitely far from what really happens and how they really do their job since THIS IS JUST A MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!
