The Sentinel was the name of the book which provides the basic idea for the movie.

A sentinel is a guard, someone who protects something. In this case, literaly, Douglas protects the president.

A sentinel is someone who protects someone or something.Besides,I love Eva Longaria in this film.She was hot!!!!She is a sentinel that any man could possibly dream of!!!!!!
