It wasn't a bad film it was just okay, the beginning was pretty cool though and then towards the middle and end it got a bit disappointing. Did anyone feel that the Female Secret Service agents were always the ones messing up? Like when douglas was trying to see the first lady in the restaurant the SecS agent doesn't do her job properly, then near the end an SecS agent gets shot going up the stairs. Plus Eva Longerias Character doesn't really do anything besides acting as a little window dressing. She follows Kiefer around in a tight top/trousers and we see shots of her in bed taking phone calls from douglas and then during the end she shoots a bad guy in the leg whilst kiefer kills the guy off. I didn't really like the ending it was pretty much cliched double crossing thing going on, i don't understand why the traitor jumped in front of the gunman though. It was also funny that in his dying breath he says "save my family" and Douglas just kicks him away haha.

I thought this movie was going to be really good and it turned out to be a disappointment...

but I can't agree with you about the female Secret Service agents being targeted as incompetent...look at the male characters compared to the females... 1. the mole was male 2. the main character was having an affair with the first lady (duh, what was he thinking) 3. when they try to arrest him he takes two of them down way too easily 4. in the same scene where they show the female agent and the bathroom with the first lady, immediately preceding this the male agent upstairs missed seeing garrison in the hallway 5. the one gunman kills two well trained agents (the one shot at his house, and the one in the mall, which he saw and knew that the shooter had a gun but made no response to this) 6. and when the female agent is killed at the end i believe a couple male agents were shot and killed as well in this scene.

so overall i would say the incompetence goes all around...and Longoria's character was just suppose to act as a bridge for Douglas and Sutherland's characters...otherwise pointless

Eva was there to top off the A- list star cast.
Can you believe it.. Kim Bassinger, Keifer, Douglas, man,,, In fact, i really thought, actually my wife figured, that since Michael douglas has a nude scene with the heroines in each of his movies, that Eva would be the fall guy or gal.
And so we watched with anticipation. But then if that would have been the case, E news or whatever would have let the whole world know, and it would have been a bigger hit.
Pity they didnt spring some more cash and get her to do a nude scene.
