all those stupid remarks to Eva Longoria's character

from all her coworkers --sexual harassment lawsuits waiting to happen! that was so unrealistic --or is it really like that in the SS? if so, no wonder they have so few women working there.

I dont know but in the real ss they probably aren't as fit as eva so they dont bother. anyway they are probably doing the first lady like michael douglas and kim basinger in this film.

Yeah, I was a bit suprised, it all seems a bit outdated. I dont think it did anything to move the story forward, just seemed a bit out of place and odd.

It was just dumb and lazy writing. They gave her character nowhere to go -- she had no development arc, and no real purpose in the film except to make Michael Douglas' character seem like a good guy and good judge of character and ability -- she was kinda the antidote to his poison of being a slimy adulterer, and we're supposed to like him because he was the only one who treated her fair and gave her a break and didn't dole out the sexist hick comments at her.

Disappointingly, she was nothing more than a prop in the movie -- a prop with cleavage and tight pants.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

I'm still blown away that this movie exists. Never even knew there was a remake.

Yeah 'cause otherwise Eva Longoria's 5'2" Secret Service Agent running around in heels and full Kabuki make up was totally believable and completely commanded respect. This movie was was nuts.
