shaky-cam is the dumbest thing cinema ever did

the whole front of this is like a drunk guy filmed it.
yeah, I comprehend "CINEMA LANGUAGE" of motion camera keeping things off kilter a little and what not, I don't care. it looks like shit. like they couldn't afford a tripod and had a 7 year old hold a heavy camera.

the only language i get from the bobbing and weaving camera motion is "Do I even want to bother watching this?"

shaky for explosive action sake makes a lot of sense, but shaky for a locked down, standing there style of shot is stupid. just looks horrible, incompetent, disruptive, annoying, distracting,

It was really annoying. I enjoyed the movie so I went on to the end, but I have given up other movies that weren't so interesting because of the shaky cam, sometimes they shake so much it makes me sick. I don't see the point unless as you mentioned it's an action scene.

wanted to watch it, could not get past the camera work. is it good enough to push through that?

reply

For me it was good enough to stand the shaky camera. I liked the interaction of the two main characters. But nothing much happen, it's mostly seeing the development of their relationship with a somewhat open end.
