Psychic? Really?

I liked this until they got to the part about the visit to a psychic. I don't even know if they went in because at that point I just turned it off. Only stupid people go to psychics.

You screwed up. That was a lovely scene and the rest of the movie was really good as well. Give it another shot.

I'm late to this movie's board as I've only just seen the film.

But that scene turned out to be a poignant and interesting one, and you don't have to believe in or approve of psychics or those who would visit one, to appreciate the conversation that took place in this scene. Northern Exposure's John Cullum made for a delightful and wise performance as someone just giving actually quite down to earth advice to these two characters.

Plus, you do realize that these were two people who had just had an extraordinary night of stress and soul searching and laughs and weird stuff happening; the "lets visit this psychic" was another bit of "why not submit to the crazy shit that's happening tonight."

In Richard Linklater's superb "Before Sunrise," that couple, too, submit themselves to a reading from a psychic. Did you walk out on that film too?

Jeesh you're think skinned if that's all it takes for you to dismiss a movie.

Watch the movie again, all the way through this time.
