Jeremy Renner on Continuing The Bourne Legacy

As much as Legacy wants to try shoe-horn itself into the Bourne series, it will never fit in, and suspect it will get the same treatment the Hulk movie gets against the Incredible Hulk and Avenger movies (nobody denies it is there, but do not acknowledge it!).

Damon said in a interview round about the release of Legacy that Jason Bourne works on his own, and though he is a fan of Renner, he can not see a Bourne and Cross link up happening.

If Greengrass and Damon return, its on their terms!

I think they will both have solo films out and them maybe they will team up for the one after that, never say never

I think if Universal was to try that, it would really anger the fans, and probably stupid on their part.

Legacy did ok at the box office, but that was based on people seeing the Bourne name, and not really knowing the in's and out's of the behind the scenes stuff that went on.

I suspect Renner was getting ready for his 2nd movie, and now Damon and Greengrass are back on the scene, its a element of "hello, don't forget me!" on his part!

If Damon allows Renner to come on baord, it is going to be on his terms and probably find he will have no better screen time than the guy who played Jarda in Supremacy and Paddy Considine in Ultimatum.

Legacy is all down to Gilroy and him being slightly annoyed that Greengrass and Damon took it upon themselves to shred his scripts for Supremacy and Ultimatum.... that is why Legacy just doesn't fit in, because it did not have the vision of those two.

Did they really not use his script for Supremacy? He has the only writing credit unlike Ultimatum.

Supremacy used his script, but Greengrass and Damon made major changes to it (locations, characters and especially the ending)..... I seem to recall a rather scathing interview with Gilroy just before Legacy was released saying how he finally got to use his own idea's after his three previous scripts had been butchered).

Ultimatum had some major reworks done to it (apparently Greengrass, and especially Damon, were really unhappy with the product that was presented to them and brought on board two of their own script writers to improve it)
