"we were careless in Stockholm"

just got done watching the trilogy yet again, for like the 10th time. At around the 31-minute mark, when Pamela Landy and Noah Vosen are having a meeting at a restaurant, Noah says "we were careless in Stockholm". I'm a diehard Bourne fan, but I can't recall a single other instance where Stockholm or Sweden is mentioned in the series. Is it just my memory failing me or or did they mention that "careless" event in Stockholm in Identity or Supremacy?

Its not part of the actual series, just something added in to show that Noah and Pam have history of working together..... be it they were both overseeing a operation getting done in Stockholm that failed/didn't go to plan, and Pam took the fall while Noah was let off or something (she has a lot of resentment towards him).

Ah, that makes sense! So that's why she's hostile to him - because he messed up something they did together in Stockholm. I always miss these tiny things that mean a lot :(

Yeah, its a pretty ambiguous comment that does not go into great detail.... but from what we can gather Landy is still running around trying to revive her career after what happened in Berlin (remember, this is only a couple of months before the events take place, so she is still a bit blackballed within the CIA, as well as standing on a few toes in recent weeks)..... whereas Noah is in control of his own unit and having breakfast in posh New York restaurants.

So rather than go into detail, its hinted that both have history, and Noah is clearly someone who will do anything to get to the top, regardless of the means or who he has to push to take the fall along the way.

Yeah I think it's really cool that it isn't a typical 3rd movie in a trilogy. This one is *directly* after Supremacy which is so super cool! But yeah you're totally right - Noah is just desperate to get ahead. You are so dead-on about what you're saying :D
