Why did Bourne....

Let Vosen know that he was in his office. Apart from the obvious reason of setting up the final chase sequence it seemed rather stupid because he could have sneaked out of there unnoticed and skipped to the hospital without a care in the world.

I think it was to get them off Pam Landly (she thought she was going to meet Bourne) as he was the closest links to someone high up in the CIA he could trust.

Get Vosen away from her and look after himself to get to the hospital.

Thanks for the reply. That does seem plausible but was she really in danger or under any immediate threat because she wasnt really doing anything wrong as she could have said she went there to try and bring Bourne in. But assuming that she was under some sort of threat he should have at least said he was in a different location than where he actually was.

I just saw the movie and was wondering the same thing

Forget it,Jake. It's Chinatown

Aside from the obvious reason that it was done for dramatic effect in the movie, Bourne was trying to get them away from following her, so she could get to the training facility, and he figured he could avoid the agents that Vosen would send after him.

In reality though, he could have waited 10 minutes so he could get far from the CIA office and then tell Vosen that he was in the office.

He could not wait as he needed Vosen's voice sample to access the safe in the office.

Cute and cuddly boyz!!
