where was there an ultimatum in this movie? especially one important enough to give the story its title?
I understand an ultimatum as a demand with a time constraint..usually followed by a threat
something along the lines of: you have until sundown to return my lawnmower or I'll tell your son that the mailman is his real father :)

You're right that you'd be hard pressed to find the "ultimatum" in this movie significant enough to warrant the title... but the truth is the movie takes it's title from the 3rd Jason Bourne novel by Robert Ludlum. I've never read the novels but it's my understanding that the films diverge significantly, but retain the titles. Ya know, since they sound cool.
