I just don't get how any of this makes sense

1) Why would Neil Daniels reveal even his initials to journalist Simon Ross?

2) Why would Daniels risk actually meeting Ross - why not just send documents in anonymously, to Ross or authorities? (considering the risk)

3) Why would Daniels have used a mobile that was connected to his name, and therefore traceable, rather than a disposable phone?

4) Why did David Strathairn did his knickers in a twist just because "Blackbriar" was mentioned in a phone call - why wasn't he already aware of the Guardian article, being that it was part of a series?

5) Why have Ross killed at Waterloo Station rather than following him, surveilling him, or just capturing him to find his source?

5) Surely "Blackbriar" would have been mentioned in a lot more phone calls?

6) For a top-secret plot that has any potential leaks killed - it seems pretty leaky with all the "assets", Nicky, Daniels, and all the other people involved, living all over the world?

7) In Tangiers when Bourne throws an aerosol in to a burning wok to distract his pursuant, does he not care about civilian casualties, potential deaths caused by the exploding can?

8) How on earth is Bourne able to keep track of both Desh and Nicky when they're all lost in a myriad of buildings and rooftops?

9) How is Straithairn able to "lock down a 12 block perimeter" in the middle of Manhattan? What does that mean exactly?

10) How the heck does Bourne know which building will be facing the side of the building that Lundy is visible in?

11) Why doesn't Straithairn figure it was this building, as it was the only building that Lundy could be visible from?

12) Why didn't they track his cell from the call, like they can do with everyone else?

It all just seems ridiculously contrived to be taken as seriously as the camera-style, tone and music suggests.

1 & 2 Twofold I think. Daniels is negotiating some sort of golden handshake financial arrangement. He is also worried about his own security, as he knows ex-Treadstone operatives are dropping like flies, so he gives Ross information regarding his identity, in the event he mysteriously dies ... which he does.

3 I wondered that too. May be he's field action skills are rusty since being station head, (not like those of Nicki), or he was simply over-confident that he'd succeeded in disappearing off the grid.

4 Yes, but I don't think Ross had yet published an article on "Blackbriars". It was in his pipeline pending.

5 May be, but it was picked up after surveillance on Ross.

6 Daniels and Parsons are field agents ... out in the field.

7 It was an aerosol can, not C4. The aim was to distract the police following Bourne. No one was likely to get killed IMO.

8 You have to follow the quick edits. The clues are there. We see him usually from above, see and take note of their heads and therefore their positions in the crowd and in relation to the buildings.

9 I think this is a genuine exaggeration. He talks about going "mobile" to catch Bourne and we see a few dark vans driving around, but where he'd get the authority and resources to do that? I don't know. He isn't the mayor of New York.

10 Again it's in the quick edits. Bourne has got the building's address from Daniel's retrieved items. We see him in New York checking out the heights and sides of the buildings, but it is quick.

11 Well I think he may have a rough idea, but he knows Bourne moves quickly.

12 They did. At one stage one of Vosen's underlings says, "30 seconds till we have his position."🐭

Basically Daniels knew his time was coming...... Jason Bourne has taken down Treadstone and all the top people and agents involved are now dead..... Castel, Professor, Conklin, Jarda, Danny Zorn, Abbott etc.... and he knows his time is next.

Probably Ross has secured a big payment to him in return for his story, plus whatever he has been able to get out the CIA, so wants to get all that money together and fall off the grid.

This also explanes why Ross and Daniels met face to face..... Ross looks to have been covering the Bourne story for a while (in the paper Bourne reads on the train its says "Part 3 on who is Jason Bourne?"....) so Ross has been digging, and probably uncovered a lot of dirt, but wants to push Daniels face-to-face to get the full story.

4)

Ross only found out about Blackbryer that day from Daniels.... as far as they were concerned he was writing a story on Treadstone and Jason Boure.... was only when he used the name and it came up on their system that Naoh had him watched, then decided to act.

5)

I assume Noah just "paniced"..... its pretty much the same as Conklin in Identity.... why not let Jason come in, rather than hit the panic button straight away? I think killing him was last resort, but with him suddenly in partnership (in their eyes) with the wanted fugitive Jason Bourne, that changed the rules a little bit in their eyes..... probably also a element of Bravado on Naoh part that he could have Bourne taken out when others have failed.

Re: Use of Backbryer, maybe yes, maybe no.... problem is, when a news reporter uses it, that is what made them interested in following him.

6)

Pretty similar to answer in question 1.... everyone involved is dropping dead and as your time comes closer you are more likely to talk.

7)

A aerosol is not going to cause major damage, just provide a big enough explosion/diversion with least danger.

8)

Probably just been a bit poetic here, but as shown in Identity and Supremacy, Bourne just needs to glance at a map and knows the whole city (Paris and Moscow) so would imagine that he clued himself up on the journey there.

9)

Its possible, but its mainly just a "cool" term used in most movies.

10 - 11... again, Jason had time to work out his next move traveling from Morocco to New York, so probably planned it that way..... Re Blackbryer, they probably did not expect Bourne to show up on their door step.....Pam at least had history with this in Berlin just a few weeks previously, while Blackbryer did not.... so element of shock and having to think fast.

12)

Being CIA, probably it was a unregistered number so nobody to track it.... so would show up as "unknown" on any mobile phone.... not uncommon.

I find some other things even more bizarre: when Nicky and Bourne disappear from the Madrid safehouse, why is her account now suspended immediately? Instead, she still has access to gain active system knowledge even though she disappeared 1 1/2 days before this. When they realize they had an "unauthorized breach" she shouldn't have been able to access anything CIA related anymore. Plus, it's remarkable she knows so much about Daniela and his money transfers and what he told her about Jason, etc.

Stealing secret documents from CIA is so easy. You go in, you open the safe , you take documents and you leave interrupted. Plus oh yeah .. meanwhile you phone the owner of the office that he would know what you are doing.Otherwise it would be too boring.

As for 7: Watch closely, he pulls the vendor by the arm, dragging him along with him. Since the can is in the barrel, he would be the most likely to get injured and Bourne protects him from it.
