Fight with Desh

Damn that was pretty amazing. Did anyone else like this agent fight more than the other agent fights in the other movies? I really like the suspense and build up to this fight.

Definitely one of, if not THE best of the franchise. I love them all, but the next best may be the supremacy house bout. Again, they are all just AMAZING. I actually prefer them over any others in any film.

It's my favorite fight scene of any movie. And until Ultimatum my favorite was the one in The Bourne Identity. The only problem I had with Identity's fight was that it seemed too one-sided - Bourne kept kicking his ass! Not so with Desh, as Nicky Parsons had to help out.

That's because he was fighting a fellow Treadstone operative. Remember Blackbriar operatives like Desh were "upgrades", with the kinks ironed out. Bourne wins over all, including Desh, because he simply has naturally superior abilities to all.

Sure, but there's no telling that Bourne might not have come out of the advantage Desh had at that moment, had Nicolette not intervened.

Also remember Bourne had just been within close proximity to an explosion as well as exerted himself running over rooftops while evading Tangier police before taking on Desh.

Bourne in Identity's fight was fresh and fighting from being fully rested.

I especially liked the way he used a book as a weapon. Sort of a pen mightier than sword thing

Like you said, the build up is what really made it. I mean, it's an amazing fight on it's own, but he's chasing this guy all over the city for like 10 minutes, through the streets, through massive crowds, over buildings, watching him close in on Nikki, all while running from the police as well, then he makes that epic dive through the window at the perfect moment and goddamn is it on. I love how claustrophobic the final moments are too, them just going insane in a tiny little bathroom, and Bourne finishes him with a wash cloth , so f^cking awesome. On a side note, it's scenes like this that make me really hate shaky cam whiners. Not only is it easy to follow if you're paying attention, it adds that frenetic, heart pounding intensity you simply can't get from a carefully shot fight scene, no matter how good the choreography is.

Definitely one of the top scenes from the Bourne movies

"I'm just a happy camper! Rockin' and a-rollin'!" - Patrick Bateman, American Psycho

I did. The build up and everything else. It’s arguably the original trilogy’s most intense and well-executed fight scene. Shaky cam overload but it works so well here (you can really FEEEL the action). Badass stuff.

It was great, but I'd rather not have the shaky cam.
